Special Instructions
For 2007-2012 Cummins Trucks:
Important: Before installing the tune file, ensure you install the patch file first. Failing to do so can corrupt the factory PCM, leading to potential issues that might require a tow to a dealership for a factory re-flash.
Cummins Specific Instructions:
- Locate the intake air throttle valve on the driver's side of the motor, underneath the intake by the intercooler pipe.
- Ensure to "unplug" this valve. If it remains plugged, it might stick closed, causing the truck not to run correctly or rev up.
- If you're unfamiliar with the location or the unplugging process, it might be a bit complicated. Consider seeking expert help if unsure.
Duramax Specific Instructions:
- Before tuning, "unplug" the intake air throttle valve located on the passenger side of the motor, underneath the hood to the left of the Alternator.
- For LML 11-16 trucks:
- Unplug both EGR Valves. You can find the first on the driver's side and the other on the passenger side of the Engine.
- Also, ensure to unplug the intake air throttle valve. Not doing so can cause the truck to malfunction or not rev-up.
